The Electronics & Gaming Expo – the first of its kind in Cape Town – took place at the CTICC last weekend.

A major highlight at the expo was the Oculus Rift device, a wearable piece of technology that takes users into the realm of virtual reality. Many curious onlookers got the chance to experience the beta version of the product (its official release date is to be scheduled for sometime next year).

The cosplay event was also a hit, where fans of pop culture got to dress up as their favourite fictional stars.

Overall, the event was a major highlight on the calendar for gamers and tech junkies around Cape Town and we can hope that this is the first of many.
