Grammy-winning rapper and producer Kaytranada will bring his electrifying beats to South Africa this January, headlining the first-ever Milk + Cookies Festival with performances set for 5 and 11 January 2025, Cape {town} Etc reports.

With a career spanning years, Kaytranada has become a beloved figure in music, known for his instantly recognisable beats that blend hip-hop, house, funk, and other Black music influences.
Kaytranada will headline concerts in Cape Town on 5 January 2025, at the Ostrich Ranch and in Johannesburg on 11 January at Old Park Station.
Hosted by Milk and Cookies, a production company founded by four Morehouse graduates, the Milk + Cookies Festival launches globally in Cape Town and Johannesburg, blending music, culture, and technology.
It highlights the inaugural Milk + Cookies Music Week in South Africa, an 11-day celebration from 31 December 2024 to 11 January 2025, filled with concerts, artist development, and networking opportunities.
The week begins with New Year’s celebrations and features yacht parties, cultural events, and fashion pop-ups.
Local and international artists will perform at mixers, and the second week offers workshops, panels, and songwriting camps to foster South African-American music collaboration.
Presale tickets are available from Monday (4 November), while public sales start on Wednesday (6 November).
South African fans have eagerly awaited a Kaytranada performance for years, and the excitement has reached new heights on social media.
