Cape Town’s first travelling board games café, Meeples on the Move, is hosting their first event, boasting a diverse range of games for all ages and tastes.

For many, there is nothing better than an entire day dedicated to playing board games. There will be a new game on each table and you are encouraged to move around and try different games.

Whether you prefer the older classics like Monopoly and Scrabble, or more modern games like Ticket to Ride, you can expect to find something that appeals to you. The Meeples will be around to help you get started if you need help learning to play a new game.

In the game, Pandemic, players try to save the human race from fast-spreading diseases. In Dead of Winter, you can experience a zombie apocalypse from the safety of indoors. Cards Against Humanity is a sociable party game that’s as hilarious as it is naughty!

Throw in the opportunity of winning some prizes, including board games, vouchers and Meeples mugs, and the fairy of luck will be a welcome accompaniment along with a keen strategic mind.

After paying the entrance fee, you are welcome to stay and play as long as you like and you will be automatically entered into the draw for prizes.

The Great Wizoo restaurant and bar will be open and their very reasonably priced, tasty food and drinks will also be available.
