International R&B star Maxwell is heading back to South Africa this August, with Vertex Events confirming two stops for local fans in Pretoria and Cape Town, report Cape {town} Etc.
Yomzansi reported that the singer is set to play Pretoria on 8 August 2026 and Cape Town on 11 August 2026, with tickets starting from R950 through WebTickets.
The announcement has already stirred excitement online. Vertex Events teased the reveal with the words, ‘You guessed it… and you guessed RIGHT,’ before confirming the Women’s Day weekend run.
Known for songs such as Pretty Wings, Fortunate and This Woman’s Work, Maxwell has built a strong following in South Africa over several visits.
Including previous appearances in 2013, 2015 and 2023. His return adds another big-name booking to the local live music calendar as fans gear up for a pair of soulful summer nights.
