The late and legendary British singer-songwriter, Freddie Mercury, continues to live on in the songs of rock band Queen and the memories of many. Best known as the lead vocalist of the celebrated band, few have ever come close to matching the singing abilities of the musical icon – until Marc Martel(42), that is.
Martel, who hails from Nashville in the United States, first burst onto the music scene when his YouTube videos went viral ten years ago. He scored an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he had the pleasure of performing with his idols, the remaining members of Queen.
Later, he started his own Queen tribute show, The Ultimate Queen Celebration, which toured all over the world in 2018.
We can’t help but hear a notable similarity between Martel and his idol and see why many are referring to him as ‘Freddie Mercury reborn’.
