Vortex Music Festivals are a long standing trance classic and must-try when it comes to the Cape Town outdoor music festival scene. They host two festivals per year – one during winter solstice, and one during summer solstice. As winter solstice approaches, the festival gears up to bring its fans flames with the Vortex: Phoenix of Fire Festival on June 22.
The Phoenix of Fire Festival focuses on a celebration of fire the symbol of rebirth, regeneration and growth. This year’s celebration of fire will be held at the tranquil Kam’Bati River Resort. Situated on an Overberg farm called Jubileeskraal, this beautiful venue offers lush grassy campsites and otherworldly forrest filled with enchanting rows of trees, the perfect spot for an unforgettable evening dance by the campfire.
One dance floor, one energy, one love awaits you on the dance floor. Dancers are encouraged to connect with the earth below them and the people besides them.
