The Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is hosting a fund-raising concert for McGregor’s Donkey Sanctuary on September 15. The concert will be held at the DRC Ook-Kerk in Robertson.
The Donkey Sanctuary provides shelter and care for elderly, abused or neglected donkeys.
Liam Burden, a recent Len Van Zyl Conductor’s Competition finalist, will conduct the musicians. Guests will enjoy classics such as Candide overture, the William Tell overture, Waltz of the Flowers. Modern hits from Frozen and the Lion King will also be on the setlist. Features soloists include concertmaster Jordan Brooks, organist Shannon Thebus and trombonist James George.
