Mama City Improv Festival 2020

Hilarious, spontaneous, witty, unscripted theatre from around the world is coming to Cape Town! The Mama City Improv Festival will bring you all of this and more from March 11 to 15 at 44 on Long.

Improvisers will be flocking to Cape Town to watch, play, learn and laugh – entertaining themselves, and audiences, and loving Cape Town, over five days and nights. Players from some of the far corners of the world, including the UK, Canada, and the USA – together with Cape Town’s own brilliant talent, will be performing and teaching this spontaneous, unscripted style of theatre.

Kids are welcome too!

While the adults play, the kids can too! Festival partners, the Courtyard Playhouse (previously the Alexander Bar), will be hosting the children’s improv festival offering a variety of classes and shows for 6 to 14 year olds.
