The event is created in order to provide a foundation for future musicians and to educate students on how to hone their talents as the shows inspire them to do more and learn more. In facilitating further opportunities for students to continue their studies in the musical field – the festival contributes to the growth of local culture and music.

There will be live lectures, tuition and educational musical performances that allow students to get involved. A number of national students are chosen from various institutions to take part in the festival and learn first hand from top musicians from across the world. Our local talent will be showcased throughout the festival as Sowetan born and renowned composer Neo Muyanga performs and teaches young musicians.
