Every year, the Klein Karoo transforms into a fun fest for the whole family at the beautiful Joubert-Tradauw Vineyards. The Barrydale Unplugged 62 Festival promises a weekend of local foods, awesome outdoor and other activities, delicious wine and live entertainment.

What was once a low-key gathering for locals has grown to rival even some of the biggest music and outdoor festivals in South Africa.

Mix a camping adventure with an epic lineup including Matthew Mole, Nomadic Orchestra, Nick Turner with Jannie Hanepoot, Jaco Kriek on sax, Hugo Veldsman, Faraway George and Fritz Gun plus three Deep-hous DJ’s; and a jam-packed list of activities including a high tea, a champagne brunch, a lamb spit and a classic Klein Karoo harvest table, and you’re in for one memorable weekend.

Not to mention the launch of the Tarras Dua Cycle Loop in commemoration of the KhoiKhoi women who walked the valley barefoot. The loop begins at the Karoo Art Hotel and runs parallel to the R62 (the longest wine route in South Africa).

Campers and festival goers will be able to experience the beautiful Tradouw Valley in all its splendour, making their way through fruit farms and vineyards up to the Op-de-Tradauw pass before looping back to the village.
