Anthonij Rupert Wyne is getting ready to amaze diners with an unforgettable culinary experience that has been designed to highlight the artful preparation and dining of truffles.
Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was eventually taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003 and the brand named after him.
It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, catapulting the farm into a prestigious wine estate which spawned the beginnings of what is now a sprawling enterprise.
Truffle inspired lunch and dinner functions
Since 2019 culinary enthusiasts have been treated to a host of wonderful dining and educational opportunities all specially designed to best showcase the ‘black gold’ that are truffles.
With the truffle season limited to just two months in our South African climate, there is no better time than to experience these delicacies at their freshest and finest.
This year there will be regular lunch time dining opportunities every week during the months of June and July as well as several hosted functions where guests can meet the truffle hunter and learn more about South Africa’s emerging truffle cultivation.
All dining experiences feature four courses designed to best showcase truffles and are paired with wines from their acclaimed Cape of Good Hope wine range.
