The Lanzerac Hotel and Spa invites you to take a seat at an exclusive Chef’s Wine Table, presented by Executive Chef, Stephen Fraser and Cellar Master, Wynand Lategan on Saturday, June 8 2019, from 6pm.

On arrival at the Estate’s recently renovated private dining venue, you will be welcomed with a cocktail. Once seated, Chef Fraser will talk guests through the new winter menu, featuring the very best locally and sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients. You’ll then get to see first-hand how these elegant and imaginative dishes are crafted by Lanzerac’s team of talented chefs.

This will be followed by a feast of culinary masterpieces which will include, to name a few: a salad of exotic mushrooms for the starter, served with red quinoa, mushroom pesto, goat cheese, soya and orange, an intermediate course comprised of venison tartare with kale puree, bone marrow, activated charcoal mayo, radish salad and rye. Mains will consist of cutlets of Boland lamb, cauliflower risotto, beetroot, green olive pesto and rosemary jus, accompanied by a mélange of seasonal sides. The dessert will be composed of citrus meringue, orange curd, pistachio mousse, candied citrus and macaroon.

Each course will be accompanied by fine wines from the Heritage range that have been carefully selected by the Cellar Master to perfectly complement the menu. Lategan will be advising on why each wine was chosen and which notes harmonise with the ingredients in the different dishes.

Limited to 30 diners, guests can expect an unforgettable, exclusive evening out – interacting with the passionate people behind the luxurious Lanzerac experience, enjoying a very special selection of dishes and spending time with family and friends, at a cost of R895 per person. To reserve your seat, visit www.lanzerac.co.za.
