Delvera FALKE New Year’s Eve Sunset Hike will take place on Monday December 31 2018 at 7.51pm sunset.

Enjoy the sunset over Table Mountain with stunning views of the Winelands while enjoying your snacks on Klapmutskop with a glass of bubbly to toast the New Year.

This 9.75km marked circle route through the vineyards starts at the Trail Centre located on the Delvera Farm. This gives you the unique experience of hiking through the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy and Yellowwood forest to the top of Klapmutskop.

It can take you up to one and half hours to reach the top so to ensure you have the full experience don’t be there later than 6.45pm.

A shuttle service is available, especially for children. The hike then starts with the single track at the Pepper Tree – this will shorten the route to less than 5km in total. This option will take about 30 minutes to the top. You can be back at the Trail Centre round about 9pm, depending on your walking speed.

Picnics must be booked and paid for at least two days before the event date. Menu options are available at www.dirtopia.co.za or you can bring your own food. Picnics are available for R80 per person.

Dirtopia Café will stay open until 10pm with food and drinks. Snacks and cooldrinks will be on sale at the Trail Centre.

Bring something warm to wear after dark and a torch, there will also be a selection of Energizer torches available at the Trail Centre in case you forget. Also remember to wear hiking shoes as you will be climbing a mountain.
