‘Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are.” Due to popular demand, the Cape Town Opera will present Twinkle, Twinkle and Little Stars – opera for babies and toddlers at Artscape from Saturday, 25 June.
This show for the bundles of joy has been made available for little walkers from ages 18 months to 4 years old. Directed by Elisabeth Manduell, the production aims to introduce little humans to the magical world of theatre, bringing music, song and play together in an exciting and explorative way.
Parents are encouraged to go and enjoy the benefits of classical music on their children’s development in a real theatre. The production is sponsored by the City of Cape Town, set and costume design by the Cape Town Opera production team, and lighting design by the Artscape lighting department.
Performances are 40 minutes and tickets will cost R240 each for one parent/guardian and one child. The show will be on again one Tuesday, June at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.
