Amongst all the wonderful treats the Mother City is famous for, including the occasional glass of wine, one will always stand out above the rest – a lekker piece of snoek.
If you’re looking for a delicious way to celebrate this Cape Town staple, then look no further than the “Snoek en Patat Fees 2022.”
Last year, after missing a year due to the hard lockdown, the festival celebrated its 21st birthday by hosting a virtual event and inviting people to braai a snoek at home.
Thankfully, for the first time in two years, fish-loving residents can finally come together and once again celebrate on the Wes Kus!
The overseer’s board of the Goedverwacht Mission Station, unfortunately, did not give the Festival Committee permission to host the event in the village so for the first time in 22 years the festival will be held in a new location, Mont Piquet Farm.
Situated 3.5km outside of Goedverwacht, and accessed off the Goedverwacht Road, Mont Piquet is a worker-managed and owned table grape and citrus farm, and will make the perfect spot for a scrumptious day out.
