The Western Cape introduced Movember in 2009, encouraging South African men to grow moustaches as part of the global Movember Campaign.
Various campaigns are currently active, and you too can participate. Join the Move for Movember crew run to raise awareness in support of those battling prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues.

The 5-kilometre run is a fun, active and free event open to everyone. Make your way to the Point Mall Shopping Centre in Sea Point on Saturday, 19 November, for a race that will help the organisation raise funds.
Move for Movember is the result of a successful collaboration between the bespoke modern living and working space designers at Neighbourgood and your top-notch barbershop Gary Rom Man in Sea Point. Show up and show off–the organisers are hoping for the whole city’s support.
If you want to participate, it’s simple! Dress up in blue and get involved. Take the event as an opportunity to get educated on issues concerning prostate cancer.
“Speedos are also encouraged if you would like to! Wear comfy shoes to run in and light activewear.”
