The Marine Hotel in Hermanus has commenced a food and wine series which consists of four dinner events in partnership with three award-winning Hemel-en-Aarde wineries: Creation, Bouchard Finlayson and Ashbourne Wines.
On Saturday, August 31 The Marine in Hermanus will host the third event in its series of four Food and Wine Pairing Dinners with Ashbourne wines. Ashbourne was founded in 1996 by Anthony Hamilton Russell and located on a beautiful 64-hectare property in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley on the eastern border of Hamilton Russell Vineyards, who owns this neighbouring wine farm.
The evening warms up with the Ashbourne Blanc as the pre-drink served with Crudités and a selection of dips. This is followed by a short welcome from The Marine’s general manager, Sebastian Berinato, The Head Chef Tronette Dippenaar, and the owners, Anthony and Olive Hamilton Russell, from the vineyard.
Talented Head Chef Tronette Dippenaar has prepared an incredible menu to match the vintages that have been selected. There will be a lucky draw with great prizes to be won. This fabulous four-course food and wine pairing is R495 per person.
