Irrespective of whether you are a CEO, an athlete looking to perform at your best, a parent, a teenager, or someone who is simply trying to manage life’s day to day challenges and opportunities – adequate sleep is key to performing optimally.

Says Dr Dale Rae, who heads up the Sleep Science unit at SSISA: “With today’s frenetic 24/7 availability and mentality of fitting in as much as we can in a day – many of us sacrifice sleep to gain “extra time”, thinking that we will be able to do more; be better people who give more – or successfully climb the corporate ladder faster than others. The reality is that compromised sleep compromises our performance in the short term, and our health in the long term.”

SSISA has partnered with Granny Goose & FUTURELIFE to bring you a highly informative workshop packed with easily accessible methods for monitoring and improving your sleep quality.
This workshop, scheduled for Wednesday 25 July at 18h15, is for anyone who needs to improve their sleep quality – or who wants to pass the learnings on to others.

Speakers include Dr Dale Rae (Manager of the Sleep Science programme at SSISA & a Senior Researcher in Chronobiology and Sleep Health at UCT), as well as two other Sleep Scientists, Rob Henst and Paula Pienaar.

Tickets can be booked at Webtickets.
