Enjoy a day out in Milnerton along the beautiful coastline at the Plastic Free Oceans Beach Run Series.

Patrons can take part in 3km, 7km and 15km runs along one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town. It is for a good cause, to help keep Cape Town’s beaches and oceans clean and plastic free as all funds will go towards environment programs hosted by Clean C.

Entry to the race cost R80 per person (applies to all distances) and tickets can be purchased here.

The race will start at the Milnerton Lighthouse and all beach runs are planned around low tide, meaning that patrons are running on hard company beach sand.

It is up to runners to decide if they wish to run barefoot or with shoes.

Discovery members can get their 10 000 steps in for day.

Members of the public are advised that on the day entries are limited to 100 people and will cost R150 per person.

The run will end at the same place that it started and water will be available along the route but runners are advised to bring a bottle along.

Although the route is pram ‘pushable’, runners will need a pram with bigger wheels. Dogs are welcome and owners must bring along a bag to scoop up any waste left by their animal.

Here are the race start times:

Start Times:
15km at 9am
7km at 9.30am
3km at 10am
