The highly anticipated PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon is returning for its 35th year, ready to captivate participants with the charm of the Riebeek Valley.
This beloved community event, attracting over 2 000 participants in 2019, offers a refreshing escape from the city and an opportunity for athletes and their families to immerse themselves in the tranquil countryside.
Set against a backdrop of picturesque landscapes, vineyards and historic churches, the Bergmarathon is a must for both seasoned and novice runners.
Scheduled for 29 July, the PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon features four race categories to cater to various fitness levels and preferences.
Accomplished runners can challenge themselves in the full marathon (42.2km) or the half marathon (21.1km), while those looking for a more relaxed pace can join the run/walk event, available in 10km and 5km distances.
The race will start from the PPC Riebeek office, providing participants with breathtaking vistas of lush valleys, green vineyards and the majestic Kasteelberg Nature Reserve.
