It can’t be denied – children have a love–hate relationship with food. A packet of chips is gobbled down instantaneously, but dinner time becomes a hair-raising affair when your little one turns up his or her nose at wholesome, home-cooked veggies.
To save you the premature grey hairs, Little Cooks aims to get your kids involved in the cooking process, making them excited about experimenting with – and eating! – a variety of food.
Interactive classes and tutorials are available for children aged between two and 15 years old. They’ll learn about the origins of food, discover the importance of eating healthily and will certainly be getting their hands dirty!
The Little Cooks Club Cooking Programme teaches kids the basics – vital information that’ll form the basis of a love of cooking. All the meals are easy to prepare, have nutritional value and are bound to get your kids excited about the dinner-making process!
The Spade to Spatula Cooking Programme has a twofold aim: to teach a child about where food comes from and to ignite his or her love for nature. They’ll be given their own fruit or vegetable seedling to plant at home, then learn how to prepare a meal using that ingredient.
The Junior Chef’s programme is designed for older kids who are already interested in food, and are looking to expand on their culinary knowledge. (There are also adult classes, aimed at busy moms, domestic helpers in charge of feeding the kids, and students.)
If you have a kid who’s a fussy eater, what better way to get their tastebuds acquainted with good food than with a fun, hands-on cooking course!
