Belhar fashion fraud has left a group of residents demanding repayments after what victims describe as an online clothing scam that stretched from late 2025 into 2026.
A viral Facebook post offering a R3 000 reward prompted dozens to come forward with similar complaints about unpaid orders and blocked messages.
One victim, Tamia, says she paid a R15 600 deposit for Crocs and designer bags that never arrived.

‘I waited for the delivery, which was supposed to be delivered on 31 January 2026. It never came,’ she told Daily Voice reporters.
Another former colleague, Steve Willis, said he lent the accused R80 000 in May 2024 and has opened legal proceedings after recovering only small partial payments.
‘I have already initiated legal proceedings to secure a default judgment against her,’ he said.
The woman accused told Daily Voice she has payment arrangements with most claimants and is repaying them every month. ‘I’ve reached out to the individuals to pay them off every month,’ she said.
Victims contest that account and say police have not provided updates after cases were opened at Belhar SAPS. Police confirmed a fraud and theft investigation is under way with no arrests yet.
