It looks like the cold and the rain may not be the only thing hitting the Mother City today. Eskom has just released a possible Stage Two loadshedding warning for Wednesday, 10 August, between 4 pm and midnight.
The reason once again appears to be a shortage of generation capacity due to unit breakdowns at Majuba, Tutuka and two of Kriel power stations.
Cryptic as always, here are the ‘details’ right from Eskom’s little blue bird:
Due to a shortage of generation capacity, Stage 2 loadshedding might be required at short notice

There hasn’t been any news from The City of Cape Town’s account as yet regarding whether City’s customers will face the full wrath of loadshedding or not so we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear anything else.
