Eskom has announced that stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 8pm on Saturday to 5am on Sunday. Loadshedding will then return to stage 4 on Sunday; however, there is a possibility that stage 6 could be implemented again on Sunday night.

The utility’s spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshantsha, said that this is to “create space to replenish the emergency generation reserves.”
Loadshedding will then revert to stage 4 on Sunday, until further notice.
Mantshantsha added that there is a possibility that stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented again on Sunday night.
