This highly anticipated match marks the Springboks’ return to the city since their victory over Wales in 2022, as well as their first meeting with the All Blacks in Cape Town since 2017.
As a result, a sold-out audience of 52 000 is expected to fill the DHL Stadium to capacity.
In anticipation of the surge of fans, the City has announced a variety of transport and parking measures to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees.
‘Cape Town is a city united in pride and excitement as we prepare to host our world champion Bokke for this historic clash against our greatest rivals. To support this major event, the City is pleased to announce an expanded and free MyCiTi shuttle service for spectators,’ said Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.

MyCiti bus service
The MyCiti service will run from several stations, including Century City, UCT, CTICC, Thibault Square and Civic Centre, beginning at 12pm on match day. It will run until 4:45pm, shortly before kickoff. The last bus departs the stadium at 9:30pm.
Fans are encouraged to use public transit and the newly planned shuttle services to reduce automobile congestion.
Parking
For attendees who choose not to take public transit, 475 free parking spaces will be provided at the Civic Centre beginning at 11am. Century City Steelbridge E-Parking will provide 500 parking spaces on a first-come, first-served basis. Starting at 1pm, on-street parking in the CBD is free.
‘With the game sold out, we anticipate our roads will be congested on match day but working with the event organiser, we have provided alternatives to single-occupancy vehicles. We would like to encourage spectators to make use of the park and ride system to alleviate the pressure on the roads,’ said JP Smith, mayoral committee member for Safety and Security.
Illegally parked vehicles will be subject to a fine or being towed.
E-hailing
A dedicated E-hailing area will also be available and located on P13 in Green Point Main Road between York Road and Wigtown Road.
Several road closures and restrictions will be in place from 6am to 10:30pm on match day, affecting key routes around the stadium. As such, residents and motorists should plan accordingly to avoid disruptions.
