The footage shows a group of people at a table at the Mojo Market, with one of the males using a bank card to arrange a white substance in five rows.
The drug in question is currently unidentified, but the case is being investigated.
Graeme Robinson, the proprietor of Mojo Market, told News24 that there was a ‘zero tolerance’ policy for any criminal activity.

He stated that the occurrence may be linked to ‘a hoax, a smear campaign, or an attempt to generate [online] interaction through clickbait.’
Robinson claimed that the incident had placed a pall over his business.
‘It would be useful to appeal to these jokers to come forward to clear themselves firstly of any wrongdoing or criminal activity.’
Posting on the The Atlantic Seaboard Community Forum on Facebook, group admin Peter Flentov said that he had been approached by the Mojo Market team, who informed him that they were well aware of the video.
He added that he was initially reluctant to share the video without further context.
Apart from their own investigations, a case has been opened at the Sea Point police station to determine the authenticity and severity of the claimed actions.

‘They have further informed me that they have reviewed the available security camera footage of the incident, and this footage shows that the white substance appears to be some form of tablet that was crushed by the individuals,’ Flentov posted.
‘Mojo Market have been very clear that they have a zero tolerance for any/all illegal activity.’
‘My initial hesitation was clearly warranted and the clear lesson here is to be skeptical of uncorroborated video seen on social media.’
‘I’d like to thank Mojo Market for contacting me to add the proper context for the video, and I’m impressed with the seriousness with which they are treating this matter.’
