There is nothing more comforting than a deliciously made pasta dish, from slurpping up a spaghetti bolognese for a ‘Lady and the Tramp’ moment to tucking into a creamy macaroni and cheese.

The Cape is home to a number of restaurants that offer freshly made pasta – it may not be straight from Italy but it promises to satisfy your tastebuds and transport you to the pebbled roads of Rome.

In celebration of World Pasta Day, we have compiled a list of places to feast on this staple Italian dish.

For those seeking to try a more adventurous pasta dish can devour a Panzerotti veal. These pasta pockets are filled with veal, ricotta, spinach in a cream, sage and black pepper sauce.
