This Saturday morning market features speciality wine producers, craft beer, food artisans, gourmet food vendors, local farmers, natural and organic merchants, clothing, jewellery, seasonal goods and local designer-ware.
The Stellenbosch Slow Market
In the Cape Winelands, the market takes place at the historical Oude Libertas, surrounded by vineyards and oak trees. It’s a perfect family outing with fresh country air and lush, spacious surroundings. The Stellenbosch Slow Market is considered the leading gourmet food market in the Cape Winelands, with over 100 traders.
The Willowbridge Slow Market
In the Northern Suburbs, the market takes place at the trendy Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre. When you visit this urban, cosmopolitan street market, you’ll find it hard to believe that the Durbanville Winelands are just around the corner.
The Market’s Mission
The Slow Market is a member of Slow Food International in South Africa. Their mission is to provide a platform for local small businesses. All products and business practice in true slow food way: ‘good, clean and fair’.
