The Bellville Market returns on 1 September 2018 to welcome the sunny season of spring. The market is hosted by The Greater Tygerberg Partnership and is an effort to promote the local creatives and culture in the Northern suburbs.

The market first opened on 30 June and has decided give the people what they want  after the first market day’s positive turnout.

There will be artisanal breads and crowd-pleasing favorites such as cheesy nachos and ribs at the event.

Nothing is better than a sweet or savory delight that is made from a traditional South African recipe,  so indulge in these as milk tart and donuts will be available at the market. The market held on the 30 June offered delights such as waffle-on-a-stick and mouth-watering deep fried ice cream.

In order to promote local business and talent, the market will host Bellville designers such as Richboy Clothing among other traders selling clothes, accessories and arts and crafts.

Coffee lovers will be treated to their religious cup of java served by the Barista Boys will be served at the newly launched GTP Express. The new coffee hot spot is located on the corner of Teddington and Voortrekker Road.

The newly opened coffee spot is part of the Greater Tygerberg Initiative that provides individuals with information about the area and provides free WiFi.

It will be hosted along Teddington Walkway, from 9am – 2pm and entrance is free.

Parking will be available at the parking lot located opposite the SARS building.

The market is a development founded by the Greater Tugerberg Partnership, a non-profit organization that aims to increase economic and social conditions of the Bellville and greater Tygerberg area.

The market will be hosted on the last Saturday of each month.
