Hussar Grill Franschhoek has been named one of the world’s greatest restaurants for a dating night. The steakhouse ranks 25th on the list of Best Date Night Restaurants in the World for 2024, Cape {town} Etc reports.

According to IOL, the list is based on the TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best.
The awards aim to recognise the pinnacle of excellence in travel. The Best of the Best designation is given to those who get outstanding ratings and opinions from the TripAdvisor community within a 12-month period.
The only African restaurants to make the list are Saigon Restaurant & Lounge (11th) in Cairo, Egypt, and The Hussar Grill Franschhoek (25th).
The Hussar Grill Franschhoek is not the only South African restaurant to have lately garnered accolades for quality.
Epice in Franschhoek, among other restaurants, was named Africa’s Best Restaurant 2024 by the 5th World Culinary Awards.
The restaurant is well-known for its modern take on fine dining, with an emphasis on spice-driven dishes.
Siba The Restaurant at The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town won the title of Africa’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant in 2024 at the same awards ceremony. The restaurant is well-known for its classy environment and inventive meals. It provides a distinctive blend of South African and international flavours.
