Cape Town has a reputation for serving the best food, paired with exquisite local wines – and the President Hotel, situated in Bantry Bay, is adding to the honourary title by hosting a monthly wine and dine experience. It will be rolling out the red carpet for guests with a premium pairing of wine and culinary creations to share with a loved one. In the context of staying affordable, the superb five-course dinners are priced at only R325 per person.

Dishes are meticulously constructed and prepared by the internationally-acclaimed Executive Chef Philip Alcock. Each plating is created to match the magnificent wine – they compliment each other perfectly.

The last dinner hosted at The President Hotel kicked off with a special wine partnering featuring world-famous Tokara wines. The grapes grown on the southern slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain added incredible flair to the dishes.

The courses showcase the best of South African produce, shellfish, meat, chicken, and crispy, fresh vegetables – some smothered in rich sauces. Alcock has spared no cost in putting on a culinary show of note.

The event starts at 7pm sharp, so don’t be late, or you’ll miss out on learning all about the sustainable produce and expert information on the delectable wines. The wine expert and head chef give guests an understanding of the pairings and the complexity of the ingredients in both the wines and the dishes.

Before you know it, the wine and the conversation are flowing, the food is enjoyed and new friends come together to compliment the meals. The evening is dotted with laughs, great food and amazing food – just the experience you want to have while dining in Cape Town.

Seats are limited so booking is essential. These dining experiences are highly recommended. Don’t miss the next one.
