Bree street gets another eatery gem in its crown. La Tête is a brand new restaurant headed up by brothers Giles and James Edwards.
Chef Giles spent the past 10 years in London and now he brings all the things he learnt there to Cape Town’s trendiest street. The eatery adopts a farm to fork philosophy that gives a nod to the French. Their relationship with their producers is vital, to ensure they get the best possible ingredients.
Food you can expect includes, mussels with bacon and cider, mint and pork terrine, hake, and beef and kidney pudding. Desserts will be classic offerings of poached guavas, chocolate pots and plum pavlova. The restaurant will be launching tonight and will be open to the public from tomorrow (29 November 2016).
