The wait is finally over. The iconic French pâtisserie, Ladurée, renowned for its exquisite macarons and indulgent pastries, has officially opened its doors in the picturesque V&A Waterfront.
This marks a significant milestone as the first Ladurée location on the African continent, blending the essence of Parisian culture with the spirited charm of South Africa.
Founded in 1862 in Paris, Ladurée has long been synonymous with luxury and refinement. Now, the vibrant heart of Cape Town will get a taste of this celebrated tradition.
Located opposite the esteemed Charles Greig, the new café restaurant and retail boutique offers not only a feast for the taste buds but a feast for the eyes, immersing guests in an elegant atmosphere reminiscent of a Parisian café.
Visitors can expect a curated selection of Ladurée’s world-famous French macarons, available in delectable flavours such as chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, and more. But the experience doesn’t stop at sweets.
Signature offerings include the sumptuous Champs-Élysées, scrambled eggs topped with caviar, and the distinctly delightful Bénédictine shakshuka, ensuring there is something to satisfy every palate.
Open daily from 8am to 10pm, Ladurée’s new location promises to be a perfect spot for early breakfast meetings, a leisurely brunch with friends, or a stylish afternoon escape.
Whether you are a local or a tourist, the charm of Paris is now just a visit away.
