The Galileo is famed for its all-ages inclusive event designed for lovebirds, families, friends and work colleagues.
But on Halloween weekend, Kirstenbosch and Central Park undergo a Frankenstein-esque transformation, boasting eerie décor, lively music and a spook-tacular atmosphere for The Galileo’s special Halloween-themed screenings.
Friday night frights
Meet the iconic Michael Myers in Halloween (2018). This movie is a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original Halloween (1978) and is set four decades after the events of the classic. With a Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes rating and multiple award nominations and wins, this adult-only event is set to cause a few spine-shivers and gasps, but perhaps a couple of unexpected laughs too.

Family-friendly monsters
Monsters Incorporated (Inc.) is the largest scare factory in the monster world. To power the city, monsters have to scare children to create energy. However, the beloved Mike and Sullivan believe children are toxic, and after a tiny human girl (Boo) visits their world, the monsters realise things may not be what they think.
A Certified Fresh film and a renowned success for the famed Pixar Animation Studio (creators of Toy Story), Monsters Inc. is a classic of the genre and PG-rated fun for kids and parents alike.
