15 January: Minority Report
Minority Report is a 2002 American cyberpunk action film based on a story by famed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick, directed by Steven Spielberg, and starring Tom Cruise, Samantha Morton, Colin Farell and Kathryn Morris.
The action-detective thriller is set in Washington D.C. in 2054, where police utilise a psychic technology to arrest and convict murderers before they commit their crime.
John Anderton (Cruise) heads Precrime and believes the system’s flawlessness steadfastly. However, one day the Pre-Cogs predict that Anderton will commit a murder himself in the next 36 hours. Worse, Anderton doesn’t even know the victim. Now on the run from the law, he has to use every trick in the book to prove he is being framed.

16 January: Crazy Rich Asians
Crazy Rich Asians is a 2018 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Jon M. Chu, and stars Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Lisa Li, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh.
Rachel Chu (Wu) is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick (Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore – his homeland. She’s also surprised to learn that Nick’s family is extremely wealthy, and he’s considered one of the country’s most eligible bachelors.
Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse – Nick’s disapproving mother (Yeoh).

17 January: The Notebook
The Notebook is a 2004 American romantic drama film based on the 1996 novel of the same name, and stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
In the 1940s South Caroline, mill worker Noah Calhoun (Gosling) and rich girl Allie (McAdams) are desperately in love. But her parents don’t approve. When Noah goes off to serve in World War II, it seems to mark the end of their love affair. In the interim, Allie becomes involved with another man (James Marsden).
But when Noah returns to their small town years later, on the cusp of Allie’s marriage, it soon becomes clear that their romance is anything but over. The iconic couple’s enduring romance story is read from a notebook in the present day by elderly Noah (James Garner), telling the tale to an elderly Allie (Gena Rowlands), who suffers from Alzheimer’s.
