Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus took to the picturesque beaches of Bloubergstrand, just outside Cape Town, for his annual Christmas Day morning walk, reports Cape {town} Etc.
This year’s event, held on Thursday, drew thousands of devoted rugby fans eager to celebrate the spirit of the season with the man at the helm of South African rugby.
On Thursday morning, Erasmus welcomed fans to join him on a 6-kilometre stroll, a gesture that has become synonymous with the coach’s commitment to fostering community and camaraderie among supporters.
The turnout was nothing short of spectacular, with thousands gathering outside Doodles Beachfront Restaurant in Bloubergstrand, eagerly anticipating their chance to walk alongside the man who has steered the Springboks to significant victories.
The 2025 season proved to be another stellar year for the Springboks, who demonstrated resilience and strength, losing only twice and securing emphatic wins against formidable opponents such as New Zealand, Ireland, and France, all away from home.
