Cape Town’s favourite seaside music celebration, Cape Open Air, is set to return for its third edition this summer, promising another unforgettable day of live music and coastal charm at Muizenberg Park, Cape {town} Etc reports.
Taking place on Saturday, 13 December 2025, the event will once again transform the iconic beachfront park into what organiser and headliner Jeremy Loops describes as a ‘mini-Kirstenbosch by the sea.’ Music fans can expect an intimate open-air concert featuring a dynamic mix of established South African acts and rising local stars, all set against the backdrop of Muizenberg’s ocean views.
The 2025 lineup includes performances by Desmond and the Tutus, LUUKHANYO and The Hii Rollers, Giuliette Price, and Manny Walters, before Jeremy Loops closes out the evening with a headline set as the sun dips over the Atlantic. Gates open at 12pm, with festivities running until 8pm.
‘Cape Open Air’s turned into this little gem of the Deep South,’ said Jeremy Loops. ‘Each year it grows a bit more, but it’s still got that local heart. There’s nothing like making music in Muizenberg Park, just above the ocean, surrounded by friends and familiar faces. We’ve got a lineup I’m really excited about, a mix of new names and legends, and it’s all about celebrating what makes this town so full of life. It’s one of my favourite days of the year.’
