Cape Town music fans are in for a major international treat as BreakOut Events has confirmed a one-night-only live concert featuring UK indie-pop duo Good Neighbours and acclaimed New Zealand singer-songwriter TEEKS at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on Thursday, 27 August 2026, Cape {town} Etc reports.
The exclusive event will bring together two globally rising artists known for their distinct sounds and emotionally driven performances, promising an evening filled with powerful vocals, uplifting anthems and intimate storytelling.
Good Neighbours, made up of Oli Fox and Scott Verrill, have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s standout breakout acts in recent years. Their rise was fuelled by their debut single Home, which was first shared on TikTok in 2024 before becoming a global streaming phenomenon, amassing over 500 million plays and earning platinum certification in both the UK and US.
The duo’s music blends indie-pop energy with themes of optimism, connection and belonging, drawing inspiration from acts such as MGMT, Passion Pit and Bleachers. Their debut album Blue Sky Mentality further cemented their reputation, with songs shaped while touring alongside artists like Benson Boone and Foster The People. Known for their high-energy live shows, they have already sold out venues across the UK, North America and Australia.
Joining them on stage is TEEKS, one of New Zealand’s most celebrated contemporary voices. Born Te Karehana Gardiner-Toi, the Maori soul artist has earned international recognition for his rich, emotional vocals and deeply personal songwriting.
TEEKS first gained attention with his 2017 EP The Grapefruit Skies, featuring standout tracks such as If Only and Never Be Apart. His 2021 debut album Something To Feel further elevated his global profile, producing the Double Platinum-certified favourite First Time, which resonated strongly with South African audiences.
Together, the pairing offers a rare double-header experience that brings together indie-pop and soul in one carefully curated evening, highlighting two artists whose music is united by emotional depth and authenticity.
