The Piano Bar is a trendy New York-inspired music revue bar and eatery with a strong African influence in Cape Town. Located at the corner of Jarvis and Napier Streets, a wraparound terrace allows for views of De Waterkant village, Devil’s Peak and the bay.

The Piano Bar is equipped with a baby grand piano, microphone, instrument plug-in points and surround sound through excellent speakers.
It hosts a rotation of professional and amateur musicians, from the jazz pianist to the student trying to find his or her voice.
Here is the lineup of musicians performing at The Piano Bar this week:
14 and 16 March: Katy Hallauer
Katy Hallauer is a 20-year-old South African singer-songwriter who writes songs based on personal experiences and emotions in the hope that others who feel the same way can relate to her music. Katy has been influenced by artists such as Orla Gartland, Dodie and a mix of rock, pop and alternative music.
15 March: Grace De La Hunt
Grace De La Hunt is a Cape Town-based singer-songwriter with a distinct vocal tone as well as a musical style, which has inspired her to experiment with various musical genres. Her primary influences include rock, indie, pop, country crossover, the 1980s, Motown and R&B.
17 March: Penelope Trio
Penelope is a jazz singer from Cape Town. She adores the art of light swing and bossa nova music, which creates a sophisticated atmosphere. Her love of languages has influenced her musical journey, and she now performs songs in French, Spanish and Portuguese. Penelope’s repertoire ranges from well-known jazz standards to swaying bossa nova classics and originals, as well as some light pop.
18 March: Stone Ngandu
Stone Ngandu is a Congolese singer, songwriter and dancer who has enchanted Cape Town audiences since 2009. From 2006 to 2007, he toured South Africa with the internationally renowned Fally Ipupa. He is now launching a solo career to showcase his unique brand of Rumba Pop.
The Piano Bar has a cover charge for the musical entertainment of R50 per person per night.
