A 13-year-old teen has drowned in a dam on a farm close to Malanshoogte road in Durbanville.
“At approximately 12:30 our Medical Team received a call of a drowning on a farm close to Malanshoogte road,” Titanium Securitas said on Facebook.
“On arrival local Fire and Rescue services were already in attendance. The South African Police Service diving unit were called out to the scene, to assist with the recovery of the deceased. Not long after they started with their search, they located the body.”

The South African Police Service were on scene to conduct a full investigation into the matter.
The identities of the child as well as the farm owners have not been released.
