A recent video circulating on social media captured footage of a robbery attempt involving two high schoolers.
The two girls had been recording their practice run of a cheerleading routine and the video went on to capture an attempted robbery by two thieves passing by, Cape {town} Etc reports.

After the posted video gained an immense amount of traction, the TikTok user shared a ‘story-time’ regarding the incident.
In the second video, the user shared further details, explaining that they had been recording themselves to fine-tune their dance moves, as they had an upcoming cheerleading performance.
The two attempted robbers can be seen slowly approaching the girls in the uploaded video.
In the story-time, the user, Kyra, explained that once she had grabbed the phones, she held them behind her back as one of the men held a knife to her neck, instructing her to hand them over.
Kyra further stated that she refused to hand the phones over and her cousin, the second girl featured in the video, had run inside to call for help.
‘I had so much faith and trust in God that I knew he was not going to allow this man to harm me’ she said.
Kyra said that eventually, she was able to over-power one of the men, who was rather frail, and run inside the home.
She returned outside, accompanied by family members but at this point, the two men had already gotten away.
