This past weekend the Western Cape was rocked with a number of violent crimes, including a shooting incident at Jerusalem informal settlement in Delft South, Cape Town.
According to News24, the police are currently on the hunt for gunmen who shot and killed three people on Sunday evening. The motive for the incident is yet to be identified.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa indicated that police found the bodies of three males, who were pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.
“It is alleged that yet-to-be-identified gunmen opened fire on the three victims about 20:50 on Sunday and fled. The motive for the shooting incident is yet to be determined,” Potelwa said.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

In an unrelated incident, Hanover Park residents found themselves suffering through a weekend of gang-related violence over the weekend which spilt over into the week. According to IOL, Monday morning saw two individuals shot and one fatally wounded in yet another shooting incident.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg stated that police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident. He revealed that a 35-year-old male was shot and fatally wounded during a shootout around 8am. A murder case has been opened for investigation.
