The body of an infant without limbs was found abandoned opposite a new housing development in Browns Farm on Monday, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Western Cape police spokesperson Captain F.C Van Wyk confirmed to Cape {town} Etc that Nyanga police registered an inquest around 12:20pm after receiving reports that the body of an infant was dumped opposite Lomazwe Informal Settlement.
While the gender of the baby has not yet been confirmed, the investigating officer said it ‘looked like a full-term baby’.
However, the body was discovered ‘with no arms and legs by a security officer opposite a new housing development,’ Van Wyk said.
No arrests have been made and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
