Several suspects who were taken in for questioning in connection with the kidnapping of eight-year-old Abirah Dekhta are expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court this morning.
Abirah was reunited with her family earlier this week after she was kidnapped in Ryland on 4 November.

She was located by members of various specialised units of the SAPS along with city law enforcement when an integrated intelligence operation saw forces descend on a shack in Khayelitsha.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the relieved father of the victim, Aslam Dekhta, said that the suspects had not mistreated his daughter and that he was thrilled that she had come through the ordeal.
He said that while it did not appear as though his daughter had been physically harmed, only time would tell whether there were any emotional scars from her kidnapping.
According to Dekhta, the family had received ransom demands, but he was not willing to disclose the amount.
He added that his daughter had been blindfolded and was unable to identify her kidnappers.
Yesterday, SAPS Captain Frederick Van Wyk said that suspects had been questioned by police, adding that the case was “sensitive” and that police would not divulge any finer aspects of their probe.
“The suspects taken in for questioning for the kidnapping of eight year old Adirah Dekhta will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates court on Thursday on the mentioned charges,” the spokesperson confirmed.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, residents told News24 that a local woman, who is believed to have been cooking and caring for the little girl, was among the people who were taken into custody at the scene.
