The number of taxi-related shootings in the Western Cape are rapidly increasing after three people were fatally wounded while travelling by taxi in Harare, Khayelitsha on Thursday, July 15.
According to reports, two men and a woman were shot and killed when occupants of another taxi allegedly opened fire on their taxi.
Meanwhile in Khayelitsha, Harare taxi driver shooting continues. 3 people who were on the taxi were shot dead. A man and 2 old women, eye witnesses said the taxi driver and other passangers managed to escape .

EWN reported that a 29-year-old woman and a 5-month-old baby were also admitted to a nearby hospital. The seriousness of their injuries is not yet known.
Police spokesperson, Andre Traut, indicated that another child believed to be a bystander was also wounded. Police are yet to make an arrest. Anyone who can shed light on this ruthless attack on commuters is kindly requested to contact Crime Stop on 0860010111.
Meanwhile, Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has also been called to take action in Cape Town following the ongoing taxi war that has claimed multiple lives and left many injured this past week. 80 people have now been killed in taxi-related shootings since the beginning of the year.
