The township of Khayelitsha in Cape Town has been rocked by yet another shooting incident on Monday, 4 April.
The latest shooting incident comes after eleven people were gunned down in the area in March.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa, it is alleged that the incident occurred around 10 pm in Simon Nxala Street where the victims were sitting and drinking at the back of the premises.
“Two other people were injured during the shooting. The deceased persons comprising a woman and two men are estimated between the ages of 30 and 33,” Potelwa said.
Potelwa went on to say that Harare police have now opened murder and attempted murder dockets for investigation.
Meanwhile, Delft detectives have also launched a manhunt for gunmen following an incident where three men were shot and killed in Delft South on Sunday, 3 April.
According to reports officers were called out to the Jerusalem informal settlement in Delft South where they found three men, between the ages of 22 and 33 years old with gunshot wounds. The victims were declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
Further reports suggested that alleged gunmen opened fire on the three victims and fled the scene. No arrests have been made yet.
