A case has been opened against around 600 anti-vaxxers who gathered at the Sea Point promenade on Saturday, September 18. The group took to the streets to express their right to freedom of choice.
“We are not anti-vaxx. We stood together today against the forced mass vaccination of an experimental vaccine. It was about freedom of choice today,” a resident told Cape {town} Etc.

According to News 24, Western Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, although no arrests have been made, a case has been opened with the march being deemed illegal.
This is the third group to protest against the vaccine after gathering outside the Groote Schuur Hospital in August and in Sea Point in July.

The protest follows President Cyril Ramaphosa’s ‘family meeting’ which took place on September 12. The president spent the duration of the address emphasising the importance of getting the jab.
