The residents of Parow were disturbed by a ruckus in Voortrekker Road on Wednesday evening [September 17]. A car reportedly overturned in front of the Parow Court residential building when two men attempted to kidnap a child.
The men allegedly attacked the car and removed the child before pelting it with stones.
This caused such a disturbance that the South African Police Service’s (SAPS) Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) arrived to investigate. The two men who reportedly attempted to kidnap the child then fled to the Parow police station for safety, and are now in custody.
The video was shot from the window of a building nearby.
