Ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup that will be help in Japan from September 20 to November 2 SuperSport Rugby shared an emotionally moving video calling out to their fans.

In the video the teammates from the Springboks are seen training hard and one teammate in particular calls his song all the way from Japan to talk to him before the big day and he begins to sing the national anthem, invoking a feeling of pride and anticipation.

This will be the first year that our boys will be playing in Asia and representing South Africa away from the rugby union homeland.

A total of 48 matches will be played which includes 40 pool matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals, a bronze final and the final match to decide the winner.

Tokyo Stadium in the Tokyo Metropole will host the opening match of this year’s Rugby World Cup and the tournament will draw to a close in the Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City at the International Stadium Yokohama.

Our boys are currently ranked 5th in the world and are aiming to bring the cup home this year proving their worth and persevering for their country.
