Cape Town is set to come alive as Bafana Bafana return to the Mother City, with fans preparing for a packed night of football and gees at DHL Stadium, Cape {town} Etc reports.
With kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm tonight, the international friendly against Panama is expected to draw a near-capacity crowd of around 55 000 supporters, turning the Green Point precinct into a sea of yellow and green.
To keep things moving smoothly, the City has introduced a free MyCiTi shuttle service for ticket holders, aiming to ease congestion during what is typically one of the busiest traffic periods in the city.
The match forms part of Bafana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, adding extra excitement as local fans get a chance to see the national team in action on home soil.
With thousands expected to descend on the stadium, authorities are urging spectators to plan ahead and make use of public transport options rather than relying on limited parking around the venue.
The MyCiTi shuttle will begin operating from 4pm, departing from the Civic Centre station and stopping at Thibault Square before heading directly to the stadium on a dedicated route.
After the final whistle, buses will run back to the city, with the last departure from the stadium scheduled for 11pm.

For those opting to drive part of the way, parking will be available at the Civic Centre from 4pm on a first-come, first-served basis, while additional paid options can be found nearby.
Train services will also be boosted, with PRASA running late-night routes across all lines from 10pm, giving fans more flexibility when heading home after the match.
Supporters can also soak up the atmosphere by joining the iconic Fan Walk, stretching from the city centre through to the stadium, offering a lively build-up to kickoff.
For added convenience, a dedicated e-hailing drop-off and pick-up point will be in place along Helen Suzman Boulevard.
Motorists should take note that several roads in and around the Green Point area will be affected by closures and restrictions from the morning of matchday, as part of a broader traffic management plan.
With everything in place for a big night, all signs point to an electric atmosphere as Cape Town once again embraces the excitement of international football.
